Suns-

The Suns are out in the NBA Playoffs yet again. This time they got to the Western Conference Finals and were beat by the dreaded Lakers in 6 games. The Suns did have a sweet sweep of the Spurs in the semifinals. It is again sad to see the Suns yet again fail to win a championship. They always seem so close but yet so far away. It is frustrating to see teams like the Lakers get Gasol from Memphis for nothing really. They were obviously outmatched by the Lakers and need to find someway to fix that. But there is a chance that STAT will leave PHX for nothing. It would make it difficult to get back to the Western Conference Finals without him. No matter how good Nash is, he needs Amare back to even have a chance. They also need another big body that can match up against the Lakers big men. I really don't know who they could get with how little they have to spend on free agency. Maybe somehow they can trade for a early first round pick and draft a Cole Aldrich. I don't see it happening but that is about the only thing I could see as a possibility to bulking up the Suns a little but.
28 out Perfect Game
Armando Galarraga of the Detriot Tigers pitched a perfect game yesterday. Almost. He was one out away when the umpire blew the obvious call. MLB of course did not change the call later. I think it is a shame that MLB did not overturn the call. I personally hate instant replay but I see it has benefits. That plus every other sport uses it. If nothing else the commish of baseball should overturn the call giving him a perfect game.
Ken Griffey Jr.
He announced his retirement yesterday. What a tremendous baseball player. It is a shame that he had so many injuries in his career. He was a tremendous player that was a complete 5 star athlete. He did everything. It will be impossible to replace a player like that in MLB.
Dbacks
Wow what a bad team. And really it isnt that bad, ot just has a horrible bullpen. They have a decent team that should be competitve if the bullpen wouldnt allow so many runs. Its starting pitching is one of the best around and if they could get another player like an Adam Dunn or someone else like him with some pop in his bat I think the offense would be a little better. Balls right now are flying out of Chase field. Although there are a number of players in AZ that did not live up to their potential. Stephen Drew, Connor Jackson, Chad Tracy, etc The list really goes on and on. Well, at least the MLB Draft is coming up on Monday and the Dbacks have the number 6 pick. It they keep playing like this they may have one or two next year. Also, you should check out their June schedule. It is rough it includes the AL East of Boston, NY Yankees, and Tampa Bay. I bet they will be far behind in the standing come July.

WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU WANT TO LEAVE A TEAM WITH STEVE NASH AS YOUR POINT GUARD???

The Nets are currently sitting with 7 wins in the NBA. I think that they need to recruit some help from the D-League. Seriously, it can't hurt them anymore, and they may find some hidden talent there that fits well into their system; someone that would be a great role player for Lopez, Douglas-Roberts, and whoever they draft in this year’s draft. If I was the Nets I would not throw away the last 10-15 games. The NBA Playoffs are around the corner and the Suns look ready to be a dangerous team. I think any team led by Steve Nash, and when STAT comes to play is a dangerous team. Plus the Suns actually have a bench this year. They have a little depth and with Robin Lopez, my new favorite player due to the hair, socks and jersey number, they have a post presence that I think will get better as he gets older. Plus, if STAT stays, which I hope, it takes the pressure off of him to be in the middle on defense against the bigger guys in the NBA. I know STAT doesn't see it, but one question I have. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU WANT TO LEAVE A TEAM WITH STEVE NASH AS YOUR POINT GUARD??? It drives me nuts to see so many people, the biggest being Joe Johnson, Shawn Marion and now STAT? Nash makes everyone better around him. Shoot, I could play in the NBA with Nash. I would get open looks all the time, and if I was shooting say 35-45% I would be considered somewhat effective. It would be like shooting in your backyard. I think he should stay in Phoenix, but of course I am biased. I do love the Suns.
March is my favorite month. There is March Madness, Spring Training and my birthday. So really the trifecta. March Madness has been amazing this year. I am kind of mad I have missed it. But this year the biggest "upsets" have been Northern Iowa taking out the number one seeded Kansas, my pick to win it all. I should have stuck with Syracuse, but I didn't. Than Cornell making it to the second weekend. I am very excited to see Cornell and Washington next weekend and hope both can get into the elite 8. Than since they would play each other one of them would make it to the final four. Those are my two favorite teams that I am rooting for. Maybe I will root Syracuse as well.
Baseball is in Spring Training. I think the D-backs have a good team that can compete I love their starting pitching, more when Webb comes back. I also like how they signed Reynolds and Upton to extensions. I wish it would have been for more years, but I will take what I can get. I also love the signing of Adam LaRoche. With playing in Chase field I think he could easily have 35 HR this year, and help the Dbacks have some offense. Which will help them complete with the Dodgers and Rockies. In my opinion it is the Rockies division to lose, but if the Dbacks find their offense from 2007 than it may be a different story.
