I still miss watching as much sports as I can. That has not changed. Baseball season has not been pretty for the Dbacks so maybe it's not all that bad that I missed it. I was glad to see Mark Reynolds had 40 plus home runs. Even if he also has 200 plus K's. The Yankees are extremely good sadly enough. Still I am hoping that in a playoff series another team gets hot and not the Red Sox. I have been rooting for the Giants to take the NL West, but right now I am just hoping the Dodgers struggle and fall as well.
The NFL season is here. A lot of questions can be asked. Its been one week and people think its all ready determined who is going to win it all. I say these are the Division Champs NFC West: Seattle. NFC North: Green Bay, NFC South: Atlanta NFC East: New York Giants, AFC West: San Diego, AFC North: Pittsburgh, AFC South: Tennessee, AFC East: New England. I am betting that Houston does get a wild card slot in the AFC along with Miami. In the NFC I am guessing the Eagles and Saints get the wild card slots. I am excited for the Seahawks this year, they had so many injuries last year it was unheard of. I think they are grossly underrated this year.
In NBA news, the Suns have officially released every player they obtained from the Shaq trade. Good job on that on Kerr( Sarcasm) Its unbelievable really. Your telling me we got some cash to get rid of Shaq. Did he remember that Shaq still avg 20 plus point and10 plus rebounds. Would have been nice to get maybe even a draft pick out of that. At least something we could see on the court. I still think I could do a better job running the team with a dart board. How quickly they have fallen. Its a sad state. I do think they will make a return to the playoffs this year. I am hoping they are in the top 3 come playoff time. I just sadly do not see it. When we were at our best we had better compliment players, everyone new their roles, and accomplished them. Shaq out finally, what a bad experiment. We have Nash still, who continues to make players better. Amare if healthy is one of the best players in the league. He just needs to stop being lazy. Still have Hill, who is good for the younger players, and will do his job. The new rookie, Earl Clark, I haven't seen play much, but hoping for good things. Signing Frye was ok, maybe help Lopez out, hes a big body, who I expect will play better than in Portland and New York. Its going to be interesting. I say they end up with 50-32. Last year good for a 6th seed. I betting a 5th seed this upcoming year. On other teams. Cleveland the team to beat in the East is still good, but Shaq does not make them any better. With a healthy KG, Boston is my favorite in the east. And in the west I am wondering how the Lakers and Spurs rebuild (Suns take note) The two teams I hate are going to be hard to beat.

Sports in Iraq
I miss watching Sportscenter and any game that I want to. That may be the hardest thing about being here. I mean that and my little girls. I would say that I do not if I would be watching the Lakers, I can not stand them. If I was I definitely would be rooting for the Magic. The Penguins play tonight for the Stanley Cup. I jumped on their bandwagon for a few reasons. One, I can not stand the Red Wings either. And two, I think Sid the Kid is the best hockey player in a long time. He is fun to watch. He is my favorite player in the league right now. It sounds like it has been a great series too. Baseball is in full swings. The Dbacks have a number of issue it seems. From not being able to hit the ball to relief pitching. I do not know the stats but I think they may have the best starting rotation in the league. I don't know if I was Webb, Haren, or any other starter, I think I may be trying to get traded to a team with some offense. That's just me, but I would get so frustrated playing for them. I do get to listen to Chuck Powell and Vince Marratta on fanster.com. They do a Phoenix sports show online. I really enjoy Chuck Powell because he feels a lot of the same way I do about sports and then makes in funny to listen to. Other than that its sad not to be able to watch as much as I want. But I still will be rooting for my Suns next basketball season and hoping the NBA draft will reap good reward for the Suns.

NBA playoffs/ Yankee Stadium/ Upton
NBA playoffs
The NBA playoffs have been hard to watch without the Suns being in it. It has however shown me a lot about other players and teams across the NBA. First, Stan Van Gundy is almost as dumb as his brother Jeff. The announcer that I want to take his voice box out so I do not have to listen to him try to analyse the NBA. His Magic should be destroying the 76ers. He doesn't know how to use Dwight Howard, the best non-suns player in the league. I could go on a long list about what hes has done dumb, but I am to lazy right now. Second, Billups is a stud PG. He is taking Chris Paul to school right now. Paul is playing fine, but he is not Billups. I think that is the difference in this playoff series. Paul will be fine and at some point if the Hornets get him a better team, he will win a championship or two. Right now though, Billups may be the best PG in the playoffs. I have to touch on the Suns for a bit. I hope Nash comes back. I love Nash, he is my favorite player of all-time. I think Shaq is funny. I like Gentry, and thinks he deserves a chance with a good team. I don't know what the plans are for the Suns, but if they traded Shaq and Nash for draft pick I would understand. If they got a new coach I would be ok, if it wasn't as dumb of a hire as Terry Porter. I hope though that Nash is back, and Gentry for that matter.
Yankee Stadium
Let me preface this as I hate the Yankees. I hate the Dodgers, Red Sox, Cubs, and Mets more. But i still can not stand them. However, that is an amazing stadium. If I was going to play in the Major league baseball, which I would if I could. I would love to play for the Yankees. they take care of their players. Many people go there to get a huge paycheck. Girardi is a lame choice for manager, they should have kept Torre. That's a whole different story. But the only thing the Yankees do, is what every other fan wants their teams to do. I would love the Dbacks to spend money. 2001 was awesome, and very special. Now the Dbacks only spend money on there 4th outfield.
Justin Upton/Bob Melvin
Speaking of the Dbacks. Wow, maybe I need to work as a manger. First, I know Upton has struggled. I know you are paying Byrnes way too much. I love Byrnsie though. But if Upton is as good as everyone says he is, he needs to be in the lineup everyday and in the 5th or 6th hole. Not the 8th hole. Melvin is hurting his future star. If you want to see him blossom let him play. He will get it. I think Melvin's time is almost over. He and his hitting coach need to see the door SOON. We should be competing in this division. I know the stupid dodgers are good. Its sucks, but we could be just as good. The whole team has forgotten to hit. And its been bad for a long time. I would love to see Mark Grace take over. I don't think he could do any worse. But between him and Tony Clark on the team plus a good veteran bench coach would be strong for the Dbacks. The players would play better.

UNC,UCONN, NBA, MLB
brackets I had UNC losing. Well, that backfired on me. They where a tough team and had problems with nobody. They looked good and definitely knew what they wanted. Next year, it should be fun to see who can be this years UNC.
ees, Red Sox, Cubs, Mets and Dodgers (all teams I hate.) Sometimes I would love to see Arizona, Seattle, and any other team not playing the former line of teams I do not like. In baseball I like most of the teams, I just have a few teams that I cannot stand. For some reason ESPN likes to show those teams a lot. Posted by Jed at 8:03 PM 0 comments

Cutler, NCAA, Suns
wanted them to do all along( at least his action showed that). It comes out and he did not want this to happen this soon, He loves Denver. All he is trying to do is save face. He wanted out of Denver and was given a window so he played it. Just come out and say it Cutler. You want out of Denver, you did not like the new hire for coach, you might like the fans but you don't like management. Oh, it makes me so mad that he is trying to be best friends with everyone. The funny thing is, he isn't that good of a QB. He played in a running system. I rather take my chances with Matt Stafford or Mark Sanchez coming out of the draft. Than some whinny overpaid, overrated athlete.
k of experience. My lone pick in the tourny was Michigan St. If I would have thought over it, They are playing the Final 4 in Michigan. They are my favorites too win. Even over more athletic teams such as UNC and UConn. Tom Izzo is one of the best coaches in the world. He is smart and puts his players in position to win every game. I am actually glad the powerhouses took over this year. I am not a fan of Wake Forest but was so mad when they forgot to show up v Cleveland St. I do hope more smaller teams from the West Coast show up in following years. Other than that, I like seeing the powerhouses.
es Bell and Diaw for JRich. So, let me get this straight your two best defenders for an offensive player. He was trying to keep his foot in two pools. If he really wanted to build his team like the Spurs, then do it Kerr. Seriously, if that's what you want do it. You are going to have to trade Amare and Nash to do it though. Neither can play or don't want to play defense. Its would not be ideal, but you could get good players for both right now. I do like, Alvin Gentry. I do not know though if he should be the coach of the future. With coaches like Avery Johnson outside. Listen to this idea. No, I don't think it would work. But just hear me out. Let say the Suns got Bob Knight to coach for them. Talk about entertaining. I would support that, despite not really know what to expect, but if the Suns did get rid of Amare and Nash, they would hopefully do it for draft picks and youth. Who better to train up a young inspiring basketball star? The Nashera is over in PHX, it was a blast to ride the wave, I still think we own the 2007 NBA Championship, but that's a whole different story. There were no championships but their was a ton of games won and a lot of points on scoreboards. I love the Suns no matter what happens. But Kerr, if you want to show your face in Phoenix you better do something fast and really the fans should not guide your decision making. We are just that fans, we don't follow the day to day business of the league. Posted by Jed at 2:44 PM 0 comments
