No clue

So, it has been almost a year since my last post. Lets start with my favorite team. The Suns... ok so that was a bad year. Guess we can move on from that topic. Seriously though they have a ton of holes and are even talking about trading Nash? AHHH They do have a good draft pick and they really could use a big body. I think that has to be the biggest thing to get for them. Also no real need for keeping Vince Carter as much as I like him. I am sad that they traded Dragic for Brooks? don't really see that as a good move at all. I like Brooks but i think Dragic had a better upside. Hopefully that doesn't come bite them in the butt. My best bet for them at the 13th pick is the better Morris Twin out of Kansas. It seems to be what espn anylsis think too. although that makes me second guess my thought process haha. On to baseball where the Dbacks could have been good last year if they had a bullpen. They lost way too many games late. I am kind of glad I wasnt around to see it. It was hard enough just seeing the highlight (if that is what you want to call it) and reading how they lost again and again. Lastly football, the Seahawks were the 1st team in NFL history to make the playoff with a losing record. 7-9 the NFC west was horrible. somehow they even won a playoff game so that was amazing too. Iwas hoping they would beat the bears too. But the luck ran out. They really could use a good qb. I dont think whinehurst is the answer. Hopefully I am wrong though. But who knows we may never find out thats to the NFL currently being in a lockout. Which brings me to my last rant of this post. The NFL is in a lock out the NBA is talking about it. It is so disgusting to see them argue over so much money. I dont know really the fine details of it all, but really I want to see them play and to hear of athletes whining becasue of "how little" they make is frustating. It is also annoying to hear the owners crying about not wanting to pay them more. What teams need to do is pay their fans. Espically teams in losing cities like Cleveland or Oakland or Phoenix for that matter. I mean these fans cheer for their teams despite constant losing and what do they get in return???? Exactly its horrible. I am done with that topic for now.

Suns-

The Suns are out in the NBA Playoffs yet again. This time they got to the Western Conference Finals and were beat by the dreaded Lakers in 6 games. The Suns did have a sweet sweep of the Spurs in the semifinals. It is again sad to see the Suns yet again fail to win a championship. They always seem so close but yet so far away. It is frustrating to see teams like the Lakers get Gasol from Memphis for nothing really. They were obviously outmatched by the Lakers and need to find someway to fix that. But there is a chance that STAT will leave PHX for nothing. It would make it difficult to get back to the Western Conference Finals without him. No matter how good Nash is, he needs Amare back to even have a chance. They also need another big body that can match up against the Lakers big men. I really don't know who they could get with how little they have to spend on free agency. Maybe somehow they can trade for a early first round pick and draft a Cole Aldrich. I don't see it happening but that is about the only thing I could see as a possibility to bulking up the Suns a little but.
28 out Perfect Game
Armando Galarraga of the Detriot Tigers pitched a perfect game yesterday. Almost. He was one out away when the umpire blew the obvious call. MLB of course did not change the call later. I think it is a shame that MLB did not overturn the call. I personally hate instant replay but I see it has benefits. That plus every other sport uses it. If nothing else the commish of baseball should overturn the call giving him a perfect game.
Ken Griffey Jr.
He announced his retirement yesterday. What a tremendous baseball player. It is a shame that he had so many injuries in his career. He was a tremendous player that was a complete 5 star athlete. He did everything. It will be impossible to replace a player like that in MLB.
Dbacks
Wow what a bad team. And really it isnt that bad, ot just has a horrible bullpen. They have a decent team that should be competitve if the bullpen wouldnt allow so many runs. Its starting pitching is one of the best around and if they could get another player like an Adam Dunn or someone else like him with some pop in his bat I think the offense would be a little better. Balls right now are flying out of Chase field. Although there are a number of players in AZ that did not live up to their potential. Stephen Drew, Connor Jackson, Chad Tracy, etc The list really goes on and on. Well, at least the MLB Draft is coming up on Monday and the Dbacks have the number 6 pick. It they keep playing like this they may have one or two next year. Also, you should check out their June schedule. It is rough it includes the AL East of Boston, NY Yankees, and Tampa Bay. I bet they will be far behind in the standing come July.

WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU WANT TO LEAVE A TEAM WITH STEVE NASH AS YOUR POINT GUARD???

The Nets are currently sitting with 7 wins in the NBA. I think that they need to recruit some help from the D-League. Seriously, it can't hurt them anymore, and they may find some hidden talent there that fits well into their system; someone that would be a great role player for Lopez, Douglas-Roberts, and whoever they draft in this year’s draft. If I was the Nets I would not throw away the last 10-15 games. The NBA Playoffs are around the corner and the Suns look ready to be a dangerous team. I think any team led by Steve Nash, and when STAT comes to play is a dangerous team. Plus the Suns actually have a bench this year. They have a little depth and with Robin Lopez, my new favorite player due to the hair, socks and jersey number, they have a post presence that I think will get better as he gets older. Plus, if STAT stays, which I hope, it takes the pressure off of him to be in the middle on defense against the bigger guys in the NBA. I know STAT doesn't see it, but one question I have. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU WANT TO LEAVE A TEAM WITH STEVE NASH AS YOUR POINT GUARD??? It drives me nuts to see so many people, the biggest being Joe Johnson, Shawn Marion and now STAT? Nash makes everyone better around him. Shoot, I could play in the NBA with Nash. I would get open looks all the time, and if I was shooting say 35-45% I would be considered somewhat effective. It would be like shooting in your backyard. I think he should stay in Phoenix, but of course I am biased. I do love the Suns.
March is my favorite month. There is March Madness, Spring Training and my birthday. So really the trifecta. March Madness has been amazing this year. I am kind of mad I have missed it. But this year the biggest "upsets" have been Northern Iowa taking out the number one seeded Kansas, my pick to win it all. I should have stuck with Syracuse, but I didn't. Than Cornell making it to the second weekend. I am very excited to see Cornell and Washington next weekend and hope both can get into the elite 8. Than since they would play each other one of them would make it to the final four. Those are my two favorite teams that I am rooting for. Maybe I will root Syracuse as well.
Baseball is in Spring Training. I think the D-backs have a good team that can compete I love their starting pitching, more when Webb comes back. I also like how they signed Reynolds and Upton to extensions. I wish it would have been for more years, but I will take what I can get. I also love the signing of Adam LaRoche. With playing in Chase field I think he could easily have 35 HR this year, and help the Dbacks have some offense. Which will help them complete with the Dodgers and Rockies. In my opinion it is the Rockies division to lose, but if the Dbacks find their offense from 2007 than it may be a different story.

NFL season

I still miss watching as much sports as I can. That has not changed. Baseball season has not been pretty for the Dbacks so maybe it's not all that bad that I missed it. I was glad to see Mark Reynolds had 40 plus home runs. Even if he also has 200 plus K's. The Yankees are extremely good sadly enough. Still I am hoping that in a playoff series another team gets hot and not the Red Sox. I have been rooting for the Giants to take the NL West, but right now I am just hoping the Dodgers struggle and fall as well.
The NFL season is here. A lot of questions can be asked. Its been one week and people think its all ready determined who is going to win it all. I say these are the Division Champs NFC West: Seattle. NFC North: Green Bay, NFC South: Atlanta NFC East: New York Giants, AFC West: San Diego, AFC North: Pittsburgh, AFC South: Tennessee, AFC East: New England. I am betting that Houston does get a wild card slot in the AFC along with Miami. In the NFC I am guessing the Eagles and Saints get the wild card slots. I am excited for the Seahawks this year, they had so many injuries last year it was unheard of. I think they are grossly underrated this year.
In NBA news, the Suns have officially released every player they obtained from the Shaq trade. Good job on that on Kerr( Sarcasm) Its unbelievable really. Your telling me we got some cash to get rid of Shaq. Did he remember that Shaq still avg 20 plus point and10 plus rebounds. Would have been nice to get maybe even a draft pick out of that. At least something we could see on the court. I still think I could do a better job running the team with a dart board. How quickly they have fallen. Its a sad state. I do think they will make a return to the playoffs this year. I am hoping they are in the top 3 come playoff time. I just sadly do not see it. When we were at our best we had better compliment players, everyone new their roles, and accomplished them. Shaq out finally, what a bad experiment. We have Nash still, who continues to make players better. Amare if healthy is one of the best players in the league. He just needs to stop being lazy. Still have Hill, who is good for the younger players, and will do his job. The new rookie, Earl Clark, I haven't seen play much, but hoping for good things. Signing Frye was ok, maybe help Lopez out, hes a big body, who I expect will play better than in Portland and New York. Its going to be interesting. I say they end up with 50-32. Last year good for a 6th seed. I betting a 5th seed this upcoming year. On other teams. Cleveland the team to beat in the East is still good, but Shaq does not make them any better. With a healthy KG, Boston is my favorite in the east. And in the west I am wondering how the Lakers and Spurs rebuild (Suns take note) The two teams I hate are going to be hard to beat.

Sports in Iraq

I miss watching Sportscenter and any game that I want to. That may be the hardest thing about being here. I mean that and my little girls. I would say that I do not if I would be watching the Lakers, I can not stand them. If I was I definitely would be rooting for the Magic. The Penguins play tonight for the Stanley Cup. I jumped on their bandwagon for a few reasons. One, I can not stand the Red Wings either. And two, I think Sid the Kid is the best hockey player in a long time. He is fun to watch. He is my favorite player in the league right now. It sounds like it has been a great series too. Baseball is in full swings. The Dbacks have a number of issue it seems. From not being able to hit the ball to relief pitching. I do not know the stats but I think they may have the best starting rotation in the league. I don't know if I was Webb, Haren, or any other starter, I think I may be trying to get traded to a team with some offense. That's just me, but I would get so frustrated playing for them. I do get to listen to Chuck Powell and Vince Marratta on fanster.com. They do a Phoenix sports show online. I really enjoy Chuck Powell because he feels a lot of the same way I do about sports and then makes in funny to listen to. Other than that its sad not to be able to watch as much as I want. But I still will be rooting for my Suns next basketball season and hoping the NBA draft will reap good reward for the Suns.

NBA playoffs/ Yankee Stadium/ Upton

NBA playoffs
The NBA playoffs have been hard to watch without the Suns being in it. It has however shown me a lot about other players and teams across the NBA. First, Stan Van Gundy is almost as dumb as his brother Jeff. The announcer that I want to take his voice box out so I do not have to listen to him try to analyse the NBA. His Magic should be destroying the 76ers. He doesn't know how to use Dwight Howard, the best non-suns player in the league. I could go on a long list about what hes has done dumb, but I am to lazy right now. Second, Billups is a stud PG. He is taking Chris Paul to school right now. Paul is playing fine, but he is not Billups. I think that is the difference in this playoff series. Paul will be fine and at some point if the Hornets get him a better team, he will win a championship or two. Right now though, Billups may be the best PG in the playoffs. I have to touch on the Suns for a bit. I hope Nash comes back. I love Nash, he is my favorite player of all-time. I think Shaq is funny. I like Gentry, and thinks he deserves a chance with a good team. I don't know what the plans are for the Suns, but if they traded Shaq and Nash for draft pick I would understand. If they got a new coach I would be ok, if it wasn't as dumb of a hire as Terry Porter. I hope though that Nash is back, and Gentry for that matter.

Yankee Stadium
Let me preface this as I hate the Yankees. I hate the Dodgers, Red Sox, Cubs, and Mets more. But i still can not stand them. However, that is an amazing stadium. If I was going to play in the Major league baseball, which I would if I could. I would love to play for the Yankees. they take care of their players. Many people go there to get a huge paycheck. Girardi is a lame choice for manager, they should have kept Torre. That's a whole different story. But the only thing the Yankees do, is what every other fan wants their teams to do. I would love the Dbacks to spend money. 2001 was awesome, and very special. Now the Dbacks only spend money on there 4th outfield.
Justin Upton/Bob Melvin
Speaking of the Dbacks. Wow, maybe I need to work as a manger. First, I know Upton has struggled. I know you are paying Byrnes way too much. I love Byrnsie though. But if Upton is as good as everyone says he is, he needs to be in the lineup everyday and in the 5th or 6th hole. Not the 8th hole. Melvin is hurting his future star. If you want to see him blossom let him play. He will get it. I think Melvin's time is almost over. He and his hitting coach need to see the door SOON. We should be competing in this division. I know the stupid dodgers are good. Its sucks, but we could be just as good. The whole team has forgotten to hit. And its been bad for a long time. I would love to see Mark Grace take over. I don't think he could do any worse. But between him and Tony Clark on the team plus a good veteran bench coach would be strong for the Dbacks. The players would play better.

UNC,UCONN, NBA, MLB

UNC

The UNC basketball team are the 2009 National Champions. I felt before that with Ty Lawson, this team was unbeatable. I sadly, figured his ankle would not hold up. So, in all my brackets I had UNC losing. Well, that backfired on me. They where a tough team and had problems with nobody. They looked good and definitely knew what they wanted. Next year, it should be fun to see who can be this years UNC.

UCONN

I don't watch women's basketball, but congratulation to going 39-0. That is simply impressive. How can you expect any team in basketball to go undefeated. You always have your bad nights, apparently their bad nights came at good times. Oh and good thing U of Oklahoma told Ms. Paris that they didn't want her money. I took them long enough, but glad they finally said it.

NBA

Well, my beloved Suns are not going to this years playoffs. I am a little annoyed, but hopefully they can re gear up quickly next year. I think they could, but I don't know if Steve Kerr will do the thing needed to get back quickly. Why does he still have a job? My prediction for the NBA playoffs are not going to be based on anything except for how much I don't like teams. I hate the Lakers so I want the Nuggets to win the West. Which I am not a huge Denver fan, but who else can I cheer for. They at least have a good team. That actually could do something. Then I am sick of Boston and like Lebron but not a Cavs fan. Thus I am going for my favorite non-Suns player, Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic. And what is good about if the Magic lose I can blame it on Van Gundy, cause I am not a fan of their family. Ha, so see I should have a job at ESPN. They have no analysis like me. Jed what do you think about tonight's Spurs-Thunder match up. Thanks for asking Van Pelt, I am looking forward to a huge Thunder win because I cannot stand the Spurs. See ESPN contact me I would love working for you! Oh and you got rid of Bill Walton, now get rid of Jeff Van Gundy. I cannot stand that guy. Maybe I will expound more later.

MLB

I am excited about the new season. After a fun opening weekend, of The Yankees struggles against the Orioles. I am excited. Not that the Yankees won't win their division, they better with the amount of money they spent. That's what I hate about baseball. The Yankees can drop 441 mill dollars on 3 players. That's crazy. Oh and another thing ESPN, their are other teams besides the Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, Mets and Dodgers (all teams I hate.) Sometimes I would love to see Arizona, Seattle, and any other team not playing the former line of teams I do not like. In baseball I like most of the teams, I just have a few teams that I cannot stand. For some reason ESPN likes to show those teams a lot.
